About

Linguagens e Diálogos is a peer-reviewed biannual Brazilian journal whose main aim is to enhance debates in which language is seen as a mediating social phenomenon between human beings and their objects of study. It is linked to the LingNet (Language, Education and Technology) research group from the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Applied Linguistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Created in 2010, the journal intends to open a transdisciplinary space for the dissemination and discussion of papers in the area of language studies and other related areas, not just providing the readers with academic texts, but also with the opportunity to interact with other readers. Linguagens e Diálogos intends to promote a more intimate dialogue among its readers, inviting them to extend some of the author's thoughts and considerations. A comment page ("+dialogues") accompanies each issue as an attempt to give continuity to the (re)construction of knowledge and stimulate reflection.
Only original papers are published, in the form of articles, essays, reviews and tales written in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
